Frequently Asked Questions

We've provided the following answers to the most common questions we're asked at Active Camping.

Which couriers do you use?

Most items are sent out with our carrier, Interlink Express. Lighter items are sent out with Royal Mail 1st Class.


If I buy something online, how long will it take to arrive?

Interlink items: If you place your order before 1pm, your order will be despatched the same day, for delivery the following day (UK Mainland only).

Royal Mail items: If you order before 1pm, your order will be despatched the same day. Goods are sent 1st Class and usually take 1-2 working days (Mainland UK) but can sometimes take longer.


Do you send overseas?

Yes we can, and regularly do, send all over the world. Please see our delivery section for delivery times and rates. Unfortunately we are unable to ship to Norway and Switzerland due to high import taxes.


Do I have to sign for the item?

Items sent with Interlink Express do require a signature; however you have the option to enter a special instruction to the carrier when placing your order. Should there be nobody at home when they try to deliver they will usually follow the instruction given. This should be somewhere secure or with a neighbour. If you haven’t entered an instruction or the driver is unable to leave the parcel, it will usually be returned to the depot and a calling card left.


If I order something online and find it isn't suitable, is it ok to return it?

Yes of course, we offer a "No Quibble" Returns policy. Please return goods to us, unused and in their original packaging with a covering note enclosed stating whether you would like a refund or an exchange.


Can my order be delivered to a work address?

Yes, we ask for two addresses when you place your order, the first is the billing address and the second is the delivery address. This can be a work address, a friends or a relative’s address.


How long do I have to return something?

Please return within 21 days of receiving the goods.


How do I know my card details are safe?

We use a secure payment system called PayPoint, for more information visit their site by clicking here. Your card details will be checked against all the information you have given us in order to prevent fraudulent transactions being placed.
